Joel D. Katz
Chief Administrative Officer
Joel has been part of the Center’s Executive staff since 2002. His responsibilities are diverse, from program development to budgeting to team building, and beyond.
Joel’s experience is just as comprehensive. He worked at JCC Metrowest of New Jersey for more than 20 years, rising from grade school supervisor to regional director, and handling teen travel and college outreach while he was at it.
For Joel, the Sephardic Community Center and its members are an extended Jewish family with a shared mission and values. That mission and those values run deep for him. He studied sociology at Queens College and earned a Master’s degree in social work with a focus on community organization at Yeshiva University.
Joel is also the regional director of the International March of the Living, which brings teens and adults to Poland and Israel to study the history of the Holocaust.
